okay so since i got addicted to facebook, i haven't been looking at livejournal at all. i'm sorry.
so my beautiful boyfriend paid for my ticket to come visit him in south korea, just outside of seoul. i am so in love with this boy. he's also paying for EVERYTHING while im here. but i'm not gonna let him. i hate people spending money on me.
the flight here was fantastic, despite it being 14 hours from chicago. but each seat has it's own little media player with a remote, that has on demand movies, tv, albums, and games!!!!!!!!!!!! oh, and free booze. the meals were kinda gross. apparently i don't like korean food. cahill and i went to dinner tonigth but i didnt order anything. i tried his and gagged. looks like i'll be eating a lot of subway.
anyyway, i just got here last night, and i'm here for the next 6 weeks. so there will be lotsa stories.

last night we went to family mart and got a beer and drank it outside the store. FAMILY mart!
this place is just like any other place. people. jobs. cars. just barely any english.

our house now has a Wii. i'm not one for video games, but man, is this thing great. it's so much fun! i really like tennis a lot, and boxing. baseball is kinda hard. and the four of us bowl against each other. it's awesome. yesterday i started playing tony hawk. boy, was that a mistake. i haven't stopped. you know how when you play nintendo, you tend to move the controller to move? with the Wii you actually have to do that! anyway, i'm in love with Wii. Steve Brown, i expect you to have your Wii in Clarenville.
in other news, cahill moved to korea. bummer. he was here with me for over 2 months. it was a of fun. i love him so much. when he moved i got all depressed and stopped sleeping and eating for a couple weeks. i feel a lot better now, and the upside is that i lost a bunch of weight. cahill is in korea till next november. but he's gonna pay (well half my ticket)`for me to go visit him! i'm going to korea in may! also, my friend peter is over there too, so it'll be nice to see him as well.
i'm going to see sean lennon on wednesday. i'm real excited. Into the Sun was one of my favourite albums in grade 10. he has a new one now which is alright. it'll be a swell show, im sure of it.
deidre was here for halloween! it was wicked. peter was here for a couple nights. went to ikea. dee and i went to see death cab for cutie (thanks for helping to pay for my ticket dee!). sadly, they did not play any postal service songs. but it was still a good. solid. samantha was also here for a night a couple weeks ago. we made pizza and drank wine.
i signed up with an agency to be a background actor in films and stuff. all you have to do is be in in the background, hang out on set, and eat. for 9-23 bucks an hour, depending on the production. sounds fuckin good to me.
i'm coming home friday, december 15th. meet me at cbtg's for a drink that night. gonna get right on'er. i misses st. john's. going to dumpy clarenville on the 17th. but clarenville is always fun during xmas with everyone home. i can't wait!!!!!! everyone always has so much food and wine in their house during xmas. i LOVE it.
last xmas i gave mark bragg a shirt with my face on it (well, like an ink stamp of my face), and right now he's touring germany, and today he wore my shirt!!!! my face has gone international!!! i was really excited. i'm a loser.

i'd like to introduce to you the newest member of 243 bathurst: LILY!!!!!!!!!!
we adopted lily on october 23th. she was brought to the animal shelter on september 12th as a stray with a broken leg. now she's as good as new and loves it in her new home. she loves to look out the window, play with toy mice, and play under beds. she LOVES attention and is so friendly.
so afher the beck concert, kerrie and i went to the horseshoe for a drink, and this guy comes up to us and says "are you beck fans? he's playing at the drake hotel in 5 minutes." So we cabbed it to the drake and danced to beck. and i almost cried/puked.
i'm going to see beck! i am very excited about this. i also can't wait to see art brut!!! yay! and the rapture are coming the end of october. loves it.
school is kinda lame. cahill is still here and doesn't have a contract for korea until the end of october. so he'll be living with me. this makes me very happy. but then he'll be gone for a whole year and i'll be very sad.
my new house is fuckin wicked. my bedroom is so big that i dont have enough stuff to fill it. i need to go to ikea again. fuck, i LOVE that store! but i think i'm gonna get a foosball table. fun! living with eden, michelle, and kris is the best. please come visit so you can be a friend of www.myspace.com/243bathurst
i'm flying back to toronto on august 30th at 2pm. i would much rather stay in st. john's but toranna is where da school is right. eden and i are moving out of 392 sherbourne and into a house with kris and michelle! it's gonna be wild. goodbye mice and cockroaches! i wanna get a kitty but we probably won't. the house is at queen west and bathurst. about a 40 minute walk to school and about a 5 minute walk to the $1 hotdogs outside the horseshoe tavern. i'll have my own bedroom and it's huge!!!!!
i work at a food bank for 35 hours a week. basically, i sit in front of a computer for 7 hours a day and do nothing. i answer phones and do up newsletters and stuff, but i spend most of my day lookin' up stuff. like how much a boat costs. or a plane. and what's for sale on craigslist.org. and what's goin on in the big brother house.
cahill and i are doin swell. he's coming to toronto with me but isn't sure when he leaves for korea. we both know a year without seeing each other is a looonggg time, yet, it's ONLY a year. and i'm pretty sure we have lotsa fun years ahead of us.
i drink a lot of tea. mmmmmmmmmm tetley.

-came home may 1st. mary walsh was 2 seats ahead of me on the airbus. waited at the airport for samantha to pick me up for about 2 hours. when she did, we went to her apartment and sat outside eating granola, singing songs, and playing scrabble.
-Eden came on may 5th! day one: value village pub crawl. go to value village. find an outfit. go downtown and get loaded. dance. day two: cape spear. signal hill. petty hr. more drinking. ryan carey was in town and spent the night with us. eden gets screeched in. day three: near death hangover. mommy and daddy come to pick us up and bring us to clarenville. we watched "the weatherman". WORST MOVIE EVER. also rented the last season of six feet under. day four: charleston. red cliffe. tickle cove. kings cove. beauty. lots and lots of hiking. day five: trinity, bonavista. lotsa hiking. day six: hiked all possible trails in clarenville. went to west sides that night. didn't know a soul. day seven. went to charleston and took pictures in my dead granny's abandoned house. watched a lot of six feet under. day eight. went back to st. john's. sarah malik was in town! neil conway's cd release party. day nine. watched the rest of six feet under. cried a lot. ordered pizza. day ten. middle cove beach. and back to the airport to send eden back home. booo.
- smalik and i went to clarenville for a while. it was a jolly good time. we went to red cliffe and tickle cove and had a fire. it was mad cold and raining.
- came back to st. john's and almost died with a flu. on the couch for a week.
-started to look for a job.

saw art brut tonight. eddie argos (lead singer) was standing next to me for song long, so i took a picture of him and when we looked at it he said "how myspace are we!!" and i was all "that is the best thing you could have said, ever"
because we've all been obsessed with myspace.com ...and it seems everyone i meet lately, we walk about myspace. i could go off on a techno socialogical tangent. but i wont. oh myspace. i love you.
